SolidWorks User Group Meeting Event!

Greetings Phoenix Metro SolidWorks User Group! Our next meeting is set for September 12, 2019. Hosted by InterLink Engineering.  Please register today!

Meeting Agenda:

4:30pm-4:45pm         Arrive at InterLink Engineering, Networking and Light Refreshments

4:45pm-5:30pm         Solidworks PCB Services for MCAD and ECAD Collaboration

Presented by: Russell Lewandowski

Overview: Designs that contain both mechanical and electrical eventually must work together.  A circuit board prototype that does not fit properly in the mechanical case will waste an extra prototype cycle to get the MCAD and ECAD designs to work together.

Solidworks PCB Services allows Solidworks MCAD on the mechanical side and Solidworks PCB or Altium Designer/Nexus on the ECAD side to share design information.  This presentation will show how Solidworks PCB Services are made available in a corporate network and how MCAD and ECAD designs can be worked on in parallel and in collaboration with each other.

5:30pm-6:15pm            5 Ways to Utilize SolidWorks Inspection & Automate FAI Reports

Presented by: Kali Gonzalez

Overview: How SolidWorks Inspection can help customers automate their First Article Inspection Reports, and realize a time savings of up to 50% – 70% versus traditional methods in building FAI documentation. SolidWorks Inspection is a flexible software application that can utilize a number of native file types including:

SOLIDWORKS Drawings

SOLIDWORKS Parts with 3D PMI

Legacy Files: PDF and Tiff

DWG / DXF Files

3D PRT Files with 3D PMI

6:15pm-6:30pm         Give-Aways
