4:30pm-4:45pm Arrive at InterLink Engineering, Networking and Light Refreshments
4:45pm-5:30pm Creating 3D Textures in Solidworks
Presented by: Justin Smart, InterLink Engineering, CSWP
Overview: We will take a deep dive in the 3D texture tool and create organic textures based off of grayscale images. We will also create custom grayscale images as an alternate to using the stock images pre-loaded in SolidWorks. We will also have multiple 3D printed samples of the textures we created.
5:30pm-6:15pm Eliminate Fragile CAD Models with the RCM System
Presented by: Aaron Moncur, Pipeline Design & Engineering
Overview: As a mechanical design engineer working with CAD each day, one of your main frustrations is fixing models due to fragile features breaking. We feel your pain…as product design engineers we’ve experienced our fair share of this frustration. That’s why we are sharing our RCM (Resilient CAD Modeling) system with fellow engineers. RCM is a simple system that anyone can follow to create CAD models that don’t break by strategically organizing your feature tree so your model doesn’t blow up when changes are made. The tools you’ll learn at our SWUG presentation will elevate your CAD skills to wizard-level highs.
Eliminate fragile CAD. Ensure your models don’t break.
